Thanks JoAnn, I leave my little garden buddies outside, so I'm sure pots would be OK too. However, I have found that if they sit under snow all winter they tend to lose their shine, so in the future I will probably bring mine in to an unheated garage.

We rarely have that type of weather, but it is in mostly full sun and rain, so I guess its an experiment! (honestly I hadn't thought of it!)

Chris: I made polyclay beads and things but never attempted a open vessel. I know some sculptural structures can deal with freezing because they shed water.
Open vessels are another matter.

JoAnn, one nice thing about polymer is that after it's baked its still somewhat flexible. That should help.
