Its not so nice outside, lousier as the day wore on. I spent the later part of the afternoon on line bulb shopping.

Ordered just a few daffs (150) but ordered a lot of tulips. In fact I did not count them up until after I had bought them by already hitting the Order Now button. Oh my. I have it all planned where they will go so I do need them. 1,750 tulips plus those daffs. Of course the amount to be paid in the shopping caert was one giveaway that I had a lot in my cart. Came to a lot of money but very good prices for the amount of bulbs. I am so pleased.

In case your wondering 50 was the minimum you could get, or 100 count blocks.
That first lot before I left a space are all tulips of the type that will come back year after year forever. The second block contains types that come back pretty strong but not all of the ones planted do so and you end up with not as many as you planted. The last block forget it, one year and you are done.

Natalie, you are so right! I used to spend my time ordering daylilies but my beds are full, no more room. Now I just squeeze bulbs in between those daylilies.

The firespray tulips are packing quite the punch. I love these (smaller in size) bunch flowering tulips.

Daylily slope has tulips too. But shadier so everything is going to start later here than in the very front. This slope is drop dead gorgeous when the daylilies bloom in the sunmmer. I am working on making it drop dead gorgeous for the spring bloom season also.

This is the right side of the front yard. That raised bed is about to burst in bloom with the Gudoshnik tulips.

I am just crazy about tulips. Well, some people might say I am just plain crazy!

I am really very peculiar. Set in my ways. Not off the wall like those crazies you see on TV on Horders. But definatly not quite like everyone else. Thing is that I KNOW I am peculiar. Not going to do a thing to change it either.

Crazy wonderful, you are. I think deep within all of us "gardeners" lies a little(maybe a lot) of artistic blood. As we all know, most genius artist are or were, plum crazy. So, we use the Earth as our canvas and flowers as our paint brushes to spread all our talents. We tend to look at the usual as boring and strange and the unusual as beauty. This is why most find us unusual.

Mona, the funny thing is other than my garden I am the least artistic person you can imagine. I can't draw a thing, I can't even come up with a fancy furnature layout. But I can lay out my garden and see it in my head before it is created.

Debra, thank you. I am certainly unique. As in one of a kind and that might be a very good thing. I don't think the world needs more people quite as odd as I am.
