I went to put gas in my car a little while ago and took my camera to try to get some shots of Osprey's that are nesting atop a light pole in the Sam's Club parking lot. It's a dreary, cloudy, rainy day here and I ended up with a lot of glare on the photo's but here they are; an adult at the nest feeding a baby!

Thanks ladies ... The nest site is only a couple of miles from me and I'm going to try to get back there later this week (once the weather clears) for more photo's.

Since it was raining this morning I didn't fill the feeders. When I went out on the screened porch this afternoon a Blue Jay flew to a tree right next to the porch and deck; and boy did he let me know that the feeders were still empty! So I put a little seed in a feeder which made this Jay very happy!:

Beautiful bird! They have high expectations for us! No excuses acceptable.

I love the Jays too! I've heard many people say they can't stand Blue Jays because they are bullies but I've never had a problem with them bullying other birds here ... maybe because I have numerous seed and suet feeders so there's enough to go around. Smiling

I have no quarrel with Blue Jays either except when years ago they ran off my Scrub Jays but that's life in the fast lane.....

They don't come here. It seems like the scrub jays are less numerous...but I think that's because of West Nile.
