I am so sorry

Such sad news. Ann contacted me a couple of weeks ago to request some of my notecards. I sent them the next day as she wanted to write farewell messages to her family and friends. I hope she was able to fulfill that wish. We will all miss her.

When Covid broke out, Ann found out that my Daughter a nurse was working without N95 masks, like so many of the health care personnel initially. Ann had several from various projects, she got my daughters address and immediately sent them to her to be used by her and her colleges. I offered to pay, she refused!
Ann was one of a kind that did not suffer fools lightly.

I will miss her, fair winds on your flight west Ann.

Miss you already Ann. We had a lot of great conversations covering many topics.

I'll miss Ann's enthusiastic Garden.org posts about various plants and gardening practices. She was extraordinarily generous and had a good sense of humor.

Ann was also a valued member of the Unrepentant Smokers cubit, where she contributed many informative and highly amusing posts.

This is very sad news , was hoping it would not be something like this since not seeing Ann on the Pets thread in awhile. Hope there is someone to take care of Raven , she loved her so much.

Shocked to hear this very sad news - from DG to Cubits to ATP to NGA, Ann was always there.

Ann worked with Raven's breeder and found her pup a safe new home to move to after she was gone.

Sad to read this. I had few encounters with Ann but those I had made an impression on me. I absolutely loved her passion for dogs and wildflowers.

I had to search for this thread detailing her project to turn her property into a mass of wildflowers. If you haven't read this, I hope you enjoy it.

I will miss her hurricane preparation tips and updates as season begins and will think of her often.

Ann, if you are looking, you were a firecracker in life, and I know that wherever you may be now, you are moving and shaking and making new friends. We all have an hour that knows our name from the time we are born. You met your hour with grace and the friends you have made here and elsewhere attest to a life well lived.

It was Ann that got me started with my wildflowers and really encouraged me.

Ann always had good information about dogs, and I enjoyed reading about her wildflowers. She will be remembered and missed. Sympathies to her family.

I just reread all of my t-mails with her, she was the sweetest! She contacted me after my car accident back in 2015, she was so kind and concerned. One t-mail was from March 2020 where she wrote about loosing her beloved border terrier Pearl and she and her husband were contemplating getting a poodle and she had questions about the breed as I had recently lost my beloved Penny. The last t-mail from her was at the beginning of March this year, maybe she already knew she was sick, she didn't mention it. She told me that in 2021 she finally got a poodle, a 5 lb. black cutie that she named Raven and she included a couple of photos. She said how Raven had been her rock after loosing her husband of 48 years to a heart attack last July. Glad she was able to arrange a good home for Raven.
I'll enjoy catching up reading her blog posts.

Ann and I were friends for about 10 years, she was everything that have already been said about her. It was a real shock when she told our group Tmail a few months ago that she had cancer and was going to die, we did not expect it to be so soon. She will be greatly missed, my condolences to her family.

I miss Ann, she was one of those people with many dimensions and I feel fortunate to have known her. May she rest in peace with her Wayne.
