Im gunna try to post, miss her already too. I loved to chat with her, even tho we didt agree on some things, we agreeded on enough. Ann was great, she and her husband grew up on the intercoastal, as did I, and we had lots of fond memories of those times. Wayne died a year ago July, I was so hoping to see her this July. Why didnt I just go sooner. Why. She was really a special person. Poor little Raven. Actually thank goodness for Raven. When Wayne died ( terrible morning) she was able to talk them in to putting down River Pirate as his profession. Just kinda sums them up. I tried to go thru her old emails last weekend but I just want it to be her. I too Alice was better for knowing her.
lol she was so nice when explaining how some people treated her when doing political calls helping out. Pam....can you believe that someone called me lady parts. I of course would have told them what they could have done with their parts but Ann was just...well Ann. Hope she runs in to Dariuns and Sharon.

Ann was thorough to the end. She along with Raven's breeder interviewed prospective owners and when the time came Raven was to go to a new family that had been thoroughly vetted. Hope that happened. I love the "River Pirate" profession.

Yes, Raven is in her new home. At Ann's request, her neighbor and caretaker, Amy, also interviewed the family--double approval. Amy made the arrangements for them to pick up Raven shortly after Ann died. Amy was sent the picture below and forwarded it to me. Raven looks haughty--maybe she didn't like sharing the spotlight? Or maybe she's just bored...

I agree. It's good to see that Raven is in a good home. It will take a while before she feels perfectly at home. She has to be missing Ann.

I had not seen any posts by Ann recently and was wondering why. I am shocked and so sad to hear of Ann's passing. May all of us who knew her be comforted by her humorous posts, her genuine kindness, and her knowledge & love of nature. She will be missed by so many of us here.

I will imagine her reunited with her husband, past pets, and many family and friends in Heaven. It was a real honor to have gotten to know her through her posts and the many tree-mails we wrote back and forth. And I am so glad to know that plans were made for Raven before her passing, so that she would not worry about her beloved dog. Ann was a blessing to everyone who knew her!
