Houston there is a problem!!!! Crying The plants all except the Jovi. just kept looking worse.I pulled them from the pots and found they looked like they were taken out out smaller pots or those little plug things. The roots were compact into a small size & shape different than the pots they came in.The actual soil on the roots were wet & surrounded by dry soil with a whole lot of grit in it.I had one plant that a leaf in the middle started turning yellow & the other plants leaves started to wither or look wrinkled. That's why i started taking them out of their pots i cut babies with long stems and planted them all in dry cactus/succulent soil. Some did have a lot of dead leaves which i removed.I lost some babies 1 completely dried out,one was like it had been steamed & practically fell apart. We have been having a lot of rain for 2 days so i'm going to wait until it dries out to put them out.I think they may do better outside in the bed once it dries out some.It was as if they were dried out at one time and then watered before put in the pots i received them in. Confused I have to say i am disappointed with simply succulents. The semps i have gotten from Wal-mart & Lowes are much healthier plants.I simply wanted a bigger selection of colors, size and shaped!! I will take some pictures as soon as i can.Have been tied up with Dr.'s and probably will be until Wed. or Thurs. night.Hopefully they will be ok the next 2 days.

God bless,thank yall so much

I think the ones that come bare root have a better chance of making it. Or at least that is just my opinion. Shrug!

I agree with both Marilyn and Jackie! Also Jojoe, do you have a place outdoors that is under a roof or something, so they can be cooler than in your house, yet not get too wet? They'd probably like that! Glad you checked on them. I tip my hat to you.

Group hug Jojoe, as bad as they look now semps are pretty hardy souls, I'm sure that many of them will bounce back. Someone please shout out if I'm wrong on this, I'm still faily new to semp care, but I think I would try to wash off all the old soggy soil and set them out, bare root on newspaper to dry out for a few days before repotting. And as Greg said, do you have somewhere outside to put then where they will be fairly dry?

It's 85 degree's outside right now & night time lows are in the 60's. We skipped spring i think, the rain has stopped & the sun has come out.I have put them in dry succulent soil, maybe any moisture left on the roots will get soaked up by the dry soil.I didn't think about leaving them out of soil.Would that be ok in the warm temp's there is no more cool temp's here. They are just in enough soil for the babies that weren't connected to a parent plant to root.I don't want anymore of them to die.I think they may be starting to look better. Confused Crying

If they're holding any moisture at the roots, and rot is beginning it will continue, so having them just in the air, for a week or so (in a shady dry place) will dry them off, and then you can easily pick off any dead leaves at the base (even on the chicks) and plant them up, they will then bounce back!! Anytime I see brown on my plants now, I pick them up and gently pick off the leaves so they don't rot...we're wet here in Seattle! I tip my hat to you.

Hi Jojoe, as everyone has suggested, hope you can air dry them and the plants should bounce back well. Shelter the new ones from the rains for now till they get a chance to acclimate to your environment. Smiling

Jelinda, what you are describing sounds like they were started in plug trays, then transferred to pots. They will not grow out of the stuff (many times it is vermiculite) and into the new soil. I found that out the hard way. It is okay to buy plugs, but you do need to handle them properly for them to grow well.
