Seeds originally from Celeste (celestialrose).

First, my fave. Saturated color. Opened last year. Fun kinked, twisty pistils. Very fertile.

How would you describe the eye on this seedling? I'm still learning the terminology...would this be a halo?

Definitely a band as it is not visible on the sepals. Could be called a halo if it is deemed "lightly visible"

Sue - Emerald Starburst x Fred's Red is very eye catching. How great that it blooms later and has good stats!

Orion - The Cameroons Twister kid has beautiful color and form!

Here is my best seedling from last year, Grandma's Smile X Dearest Valentine. Last year one scape bud built to 44 buds and the other two had bud counts in the high 20s. This year, with a lack of rain and long stretches of temps in the high 90s, it only has bud counts in the high 20s. I hope it will rebloom since it did last year.

This is a Lyshack seedling. Tim, it has a low bud count again, but that face could launch a thousand ships. It does have a rebloom scape coming!

Was never that pretty for me.

Thanks for letting me know how she'd doing for you. Too bad about the bud count, but maybe you can find something with better branching to cross her with.

The heat and no rain has really hurt bloom season here. Although started good, but declined quickly, even with trying to keep up on watering. Seed pods are hard to set, or they abort.
Pictures of your blooms are great to see, Keep posting.

Tim - I have several seedlings from last year when I crossed Lyshack 1 with Freedom of Expression and several of my UF seedlings. I hope I get something great out of one of those crosses.

Hayfield Homerun x Kathy Bouman - extraordinary big flowers, usually face upright to the sky, looks like e flying dove - but a bud count less than 15

I like the dark one... assuming it doesn't slick or fade in heat and direct sun
