WPS is still having the root auction, but it has returned to all in person this year. I know at one point they were exploring permanently having at least a portion online, but must have decided against it. It's a lot of work doing one, and I imagine even more work having two components to it. Our auction has a nice list and is this Saturday.

Yeap chipmunks they are a real pest . I will plant my next batch of peony roots with a rag soaked in ammonia in a baggie holes punched in the baggie… and plantskyyd pellets on top… and they keep eating the leaves on the holiday amaryllis that were out in pots.
The squirrels dug up amaryllis 'Naked Lady' bulbs 18 bulbs and 20 bulbs of summer bloomin narcissis . I also have traps set. They can cause damage to the house foundation with digging under the foundation for winters. And Attacking the tree peony's. I guess I'm gonna have to get a cat. I lost my last one last year and all the critters are taking over.

Pic lil bratty piggies…

In my previous house chipmunks were stealing my tomatoes. Now I have squirrels digging in the backyard and pots full time trying to hide walnuts from the nearby black walnut tree.

I hate that Bea! Our humane society advertises "barn cats". Full grown feral cats that have been spayed or neutered that you can release in your barn. I hope you can find one in your area

I had my dahlias fenced in an area against the deer. I went to water them on one was half gone. Pieces is the stalks were inside the fence . I figured a rabbit that I had seen in the area squeezed through the fence as it wasn't chicken wire. 🙄 I sprayer liquid Fence o
All over the base of the dahlia yesterday evening and it wasn't damaged today
It is such a royal pain to have to do all of this just to have pretty flowers.

Two of my newly planted peony roots have been dug around by armadillos.

Good Luck to everyone!

Bea, one or more cats is essential for a garden! We have voles and sometimes hares as garden pests, our cats take care of them. Thumbs up
