Especially when you live in the north! I just replaced my seed-starting lights with some new fixtures, only a couple of months to go until the onion seeds get planted. And I have some lettuce seeds started to see how they will do under the lights...

All of my Black Friday buying was from seed companies offering free shipping! Provided the seeds arrive, I am ready for next year.

You garden in bathrobe and/or nightclothes. (We've probably had this one)

You keep notes about your seed stash- INCLUDING keeping a note about a NOID seed that you no longer even have, because you want to remember the experience and the person who gave you the seed.

Oh... that's so similar to keeping pics of plants I no longer own and don't really even want to have again. Just for the memories!

...if your personal sense of direction involves plants. "We're just about there - it's the house right after the pink roses..." Or "Turn left by the big pecan tree."

...if you've ever pulled over while driving to take pics of a plant.

...if you go to a zoo just to see the plants because you know zoos always have interesting plantings.

Sally, are you implying that everyone doesn't keep those kinds of notes?

.... you view helping others get more from their gardening endeavors as a natural extension of your own gardening experience.

...if it bothers you to see a great plant window without a plant.

...if you think of moving when you see a house for sale with better windows.

...if your opinions of your neighbors includes evaluation of their landscaping.

...if you think of colors as the flowers that match. That's not sky blue, it's Plumbago.

.... if you can't help but think "massacre" when the neighborhood kids go a-flower picking in your garden, followed by your conscience asking if you were thinking about the kids or the flowers.

...if you read the last post and think, Al should plant more flowers so there's plenty for picking.

.... if you wonder whether your garden can tell the difference between you the care giver and those who only visit garden fringes to share the latest bit of gossip and keep you from your sedulous ministrations.

.... if, when you spy the first robin of spring, you're already at work in your favorite patch.

.... if you can find birth, and growth, and beauty, and danger, and struggle, and triumph, and even death, with both feet firmly planted in a furrow either side of a pickle hill.

.... if you stop, reach for the file that lives in your pocket, telling yourself your hoe needs having its edge touched up, while deep down inside you know you just need a bit of a break.

.... if your garden is your autobiography.

.... if you refused a politician entry to your garden for fear (s)he would over-fertilize it.
