LOL, the first one looked curious about something on the other side of the deck and the second one was at a feeder when another Grackle flew in and almost landed on him ... guess he was startled. Here's the photo before I cropped it:

I got a few pic's today of my regular old backyard birdies.

Mourning Dove and (I think) a Blackpoll Warbler that only visits during it's migration north from South America:

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

The Catbirds and House Wrens are back! They leave each winter and return in spring to my garden each year. I love both these birds. I haven't seen them yet but sure can hear them. Both nest in my yard each year.

Those little house wrens just sing and sing and sing. Hard to believe such a little bird can sing so much. I love their song. I also love the catbird call and I think catbirds are so pretty.

The Catbirds are really nice garden birds to have around. They are very friendly. They like shrubby areas to nest in. So do House Wrens but the House Wrens need a birdhouse. But that in a very shrubby area also. Not like the bluebirds that want to be out in the open.
