Slap Me Sassy is on its way here, as are replacements from Smokey's Garden for lost plants. There is one order, of just four plants, left to ship. Hopefully it will ship later this week.

Received a replacement order from Smokey's Gardens today of Eenie Weenie, Fitzasaurus, Meno, Olallie Star, Open Hearth and Patsy Bickers. I cannot complain about their guarantee. They will replace lost plants for one year from purchase, no quibbling and no requirement to send back dead plants. A couple of the replacement plants were "smallish", though if the plants I received from them earlier this Spring are any indication, these should all do just fine.

I finally received my last order from Frostline Daylilies in WI. Instead of sending me Across the Garden Path, his new intro from 2022, he sent me Across the Border, lovely but not what I ordered. As well as a gift plant called Belgian Lace with no photo here but listed as an orange self. Is it just me or would you expect a Fringy or ruffled white with that name?

Anyway, the other 14 plants are correct, so there will be a lot of finding locations and digging tomorrow.

I received my final order for the year today from 5-Acre Farms Daylilies. There were just four plants in this order and Rod sent huge plants with multiple fans. Some had scapes and buds which he tried to preserve, though most had broken off in the package. As big as these are I expect they may bloom anyway this season. Like Zoia, I have to find locations and get them in the ground within the next few days.

You'll love this one- one of our daylily club members moved a couple years ago and the new owner doesn't want his daylilies and just wants grass to mow. Today 12 of our club members got to go up and dig as many as we wanted for free!!! I brought home 19, a coral bell and a couple Lily bulbs! They were full of grass but I managed to get it all out and cleaned up ready to plant This is what I brought home

Some of the Floyd Cove plants can be marginal here, so I will pot it and keep it in the greenhouse this year. I did plant several last year after I was done using them in crosses, and since we had such a mild winter, they are all doing great. I dare not risk that with Joyous Night in case we have a bad winter this year. I couldn't resist ordering it now in case they do close, and I am hoping it is as nice in person as it is in the catalog. I got Ruby Rose as my free plant. I envy you for getting Now That's Cheesy!
