Update on the offsets...getting better everyday!

Thanks Bonnie! It does bring in the sunny feel indoors! Just waiting for a few more days, I think 3 more buds and all is in bloom.

We went back to Alden Lane Nursery earlier today, and I got another clivia! Will repot it tomorrow, the name on the container says Clivia orange hybrid (P-Horiz)'Net'. I think we still have enough cool evenings though our daytimes are slowly rising, so will follow similar dry cool rest I did with the yellow clivia. Let's see if this will make it bloom too

Repot done on Clivia orange, that media it has is just way too sticky wet, glad to repot it; sadly had to lose a leaf.
There were some rotted roots I had to remove and although it has a good number of leaves, the amount of roots is not like the other one I got. Still long and noodle like looking roots:


Here it is in its new container, now with 11 leaves, I may have to trim one broken leaf..will do it some other time.

Great looking blooms. We have one but its probably rootbound and doesnt bloom anymore.

Wow that looks really big! I wonder how the roots look like? Do you plan to repot sometime soon?

Its too big for me to repot and DD has a baby taken from last year. This is a plant she brought home from the office when a division closed and people left. We have had it 4 years,it bloomed 2 years, so I am sure its rootbound plus I think there is another plant started in the pot. It just keeps on growing.

Yeah, you would need someone to help pull out that huge plant. What colors were the blooms before?

Thanks for the photo of your plant, it is good to see where your plant is indoors..give me an idea later on where to move and place mine after the blooms are done.

I think the bloom was orange.
The plant is never in sun. It goes outside in summer and stays under a Japanese Maple that is quite dense.

My orange Clivia is struggling..the leaves not looking good. I have just moved it to the opposite side of where I placed it before, after seeing the leaves.


Seems like the leaves are getting bleached..maybe the sunlight bouncing from my neighbor's window is too much, now that the sun is getting stronger? Or it hated the 38F temps we had for the past few nights.


I will continue to keep it dry till about 3rd week of March, and will see if it improves or continues to pout.

That does look like sunburn. We've gotten down to 38 a few times this year, but I haven't seen any damage on any of my plants. Maybe it just needs time to acclimate.
