Sulli, I look forward to see your Black Panther! I am glad that is covered with buds this year eventhough it was injured a few years ago. Its color is so amazing from those that I have seen on Facebook

It's hard to identify peony pink NOIDs as they seem to bloom differently from year to year. Even when I identify something, there is always a lingering tinge of uncertainty that it maybe something else.

Mantis, so sorry about your Angel Emily! Hopefully, you will get a chance to see it in its best form next year.

Thank you for your kind words on Lavender Hill, Mantis and Jasmin. I love it very much! It is one of the tree peony that gives me blooms in spite of less than favorable conditions as they are grown in partial shade and near trees. I can stare at LH all day because its soft lavender color is so nice and calm to look at. Here it is once more at its best stage. Will probably start to wilt tomorrow.

Karen, your Lavender Hill is beautiful. Mine is also under a tree and in partial shade. Hope it will bloom next year for the first time. It is growing nicely, and it looks very healthy, so I removed the "cage".

Moreover, your pink NOID is stunning. Is it one of your seedlings? It looks so modern and cool. Very fashionable. I can imagine it on a runway gracing silk dresses and soft blouses of, for example, Oscar de la Renta. Perhaps something similar to this, just in softer pink:

Thank you Jasmin! I wish you live near me so I can give you the tree or a division of the above NOID TP. It's not my seedling. I got it as a gift from a peony purchase. I am not fond of its wild look. Looking at it makes me nervous. I think Covid pandemic did a number on me. I used to like it but I no longer find it appealing. I am considering getting rid of it. Here is definitely a case of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Karen, I hope you will not destroy that Wild Cat peony. How big is it? Does it grow big? Big like Rockiis? Please advise.

Then we have a trio of coral/peach blooms, I thought I might use them in a bigger design with the panther but didn't need them.

shortest is Theresa Anne, the others are Coral Nebula and Renown (I think, lost the tag on one of them and they are very similar)

here they are still on the plant

Wow, I like that name! Wild Cat really fits this tree peony! It is a short type peony because it is under 3ft tall after 10 years. It may have Rockii lineage due to its dark pink flares. I am sorry but I have to let it go this fall. Its chaotic look and short stature without any other redeeming traits no longer appeal to me. Hiyamaki asked for a division so it looks like it will not be done with its existence yet. If I can send you a division, I would.

Stunning! Love the color of both Black Panther and Coral Nebula. The flower in the last pic is my favorite. Is that Coral Nebula? It looks like it.

I'm pretty sure that last one is Coral Nebula, I have one more in this color family to open and then I can re-label them. Manchurian Promise is looking very dark coral but just opening. I may have mixed up the tags as these were moved twice a few years ago.

Karen, your Lavender Hill is so beautiful. I am still having issues after COVID, too. I just do not want to go anywhere. I really only do gardening outings.
Your Wildcat peony is pretty. But if you don't like it, I agree on removing it.

Sulli, your Black Panther is worth the wait. Your arrangement is gorgeous. Love seeing the other peony blooms too.

Adore all the beautiful peony pics. So nice to see many new blooms I haven't seen before from all your gardens .
Your peony's are way ahead of mine this season. Just spotted a few blooms. The weather will be better next week Crossing Fingers! a bud or two will open.
At least the ground squirrels didn't dig any up this year. Pesky stinkers.

Wonderful blooms, Sulli. I have Manchurian Promise, but no blooms this year. Hopefully next year!

Glad you were able to capture the dark color of Black Panther. It really is special.

Bea, I hope you get some blooms soon. It seems that you are very behind us.

I echo everybody's comments regarding your TP blooms Sulli! Vela is lovely and elegant as Jasmin said. I also like the name very much. The peony blooms that you posted for Manchurian Promise may not be MP as it is too rose. But it is hard to know for sure. Need to give it more time to see if it consistently blooms this way. May change next year. This is what Manchurian Promise looks like for me this year.
Bud this is the pinkest that I have seen of MP

Thank you everybody for your kind comments, acorns, and thumbups. I am really pleased with my peony trees this year. They bloom great and the weather has been perfect. Shimano Fuji is so lovely this year. Japanese TP do really well in my garden.

Joseph Rocks is also a fantastic TP. It blooms and grows so well even in unfavorable conditions (shade and aggressive tree roots competition)

Here is a Rockii NOID that I bought on Ebay 10 years ago. The flower does not look anything like the pic that the seller posted. Hilarious! Hilarious! It's a poor grower and bloomer as it is planted near trees and in partial shade. I have meant to move it for years but haven't got around to it. It finally blooms for the second time after many years without blooms. I think it is worth the wait. It's really pretty.

some hybrids. Hurray!
