Oscar, what a show your TPs put out this year! I am just in awe! It seems the blooming season flew by so fast. Did you get any blooms on your seedlings?

Tracey, I agree Eternal Spring has a striking color!

Tracey four years and counting not a single bloom maybe next year. Although I have two herbaceous seedlings with a tiny bloom each .

Nice, Valerie. yachiyo tsubaki makes beautiful seedlings and always makes a ton of seed here.

Thanks Tracey. This begs the question though - has anyone seen an ugly tree peony seedling? Rolling on the floor laughing I won't ask about herbaceous peony seedlings because I have had a few ugly ones from one particular set of genes Thumbs down

Leave it to High Noon to fill the garden with fragrance. High Noon was glowing this year. It is finishing now; these are last week's pictures.

My last tree peony to bloom opened two days ago, but only two flowers. It started with many more buds. There was a Hydrangea brunch that was shading Kinkaku. I cut that brunch thinking that Kinaku will receive more sunlight to develop the buds Smiling However, Kinkaku decided to grow, instead to bloom. It doubled in size in just a month and abandon all buds except two. Even these two are not as big as usual Rolling on the floor laughing

Beautiful blooms, Oscar, Valerie, and Jasmin! Oscar and Jasmin, I am sorry to hear that both of your Kinkaku's suffered loss of buds this year, but the two blooms from each tree are gorgeous.

Valerie, that is a great seedling and Lydia Foote is very nice too.

Here are several highlights of the season. Since I relandscaped the garden, I've got several more nice vistas and angles for taking photos.
Hoki dominated this year Smiling Hope Hoki will repeat its performance next year Crossing Fingers!

Thank you for your kind words, likes and acorns Thank You! Although I still have several very small areas to finish (final touches), the main work is done. By now, I totally forgot all that hard work, and I am ready to enjoy the garden and blooms. I only wished I relandscaped the garden ten years ago.

By the way, my herbaceous peonies will probably be done in a week, but the roses are in full bloom. The clematises that I had to move last because of the relandscaping are doing well, although most of them will not bloom this year. The mums and native plants are doing well too. Even my experiment with the rhodos and soil acidification is going well Thumbs up However, my favourite time of the year is when the tree peonies bloom. That feeling of being a little high ( Rolling on the floor laughing ) and being able to forget everything else cannot be induced by any other plant Smiling
