Small organza bags might work too. I sent walking onion bulbils wrapped in a piece of paper towel in a couple of organza bags that I had received in a previous swap. I haven't found out yet how well they traveled...

I'm taking a break with a coffee and trying to make it through the listings so far. I'm afraid my starred list is about to become "three sizes too large".

I think you guys have convinced me that I need a lot more seeds than I thought. How am I supposed to prioritize with all of the amazing seeds offered?

poisondartfrog said: Does anyone want Black Walnuts this year? I'll list a few if anyone does. They are big, so 3 would constitute a pack. The tall trees grow fast and you have shade in 5 or 6 years, nuts in about 8 years, and plenty of them. Keep in mind their allelopathic qualities; some plants won't grow around them so plant accordingly. Squirrels are big fans.

I would love some Black Walnuts! 🌳

Yes, to all. I love the salvias & pink yarrow especially but can find room for all of them! We just bought 9 acres so I will be starting from scratch this year. Rolling my eyes.

Dear Fellow Seed-aHolics,

On top of very full lives with deep obligations, Lisa and Alana have made it possible for me to rejoin the swap. I don't know how to 'splain what's going on in order to make sense out of what I just wrote, but I do want to thank everyone participating here, along with Lisa and Alana, for making this swap such a very special annual event.

Wishing everyone lots of sprouts in the year to come,
Karen

The Salvias, Northern Sea Oats and Yarrow have been added to my swap list if you want to check it out. Good luck with your gardens. It sounds like an exciting new adventure!

I just wanted to make a note here. The celosias I saved from Florets mixes my 3 yr old was helping me pack so they have varying amounts. I put down a pinch on the amount as I didn't want to count every single last seed but I did make sure each one has at least 25 seeds before I stopped counting 😀

Sounds wonderful. My dad got me sucked into gardening by giving me my own Marigold seeds, then coaching me through sowing, transplanting and making little bouquets for mommy.

It's great to get kids into gardening. My 5 year old daughter likes to help garden, making dandelion bouquets and starting seeds with me. My 3 year old son is just learning.

I agree! They love to help so I figure I'll teach them the love for gardening and flowers young 😀 I love to see children involved in the gardening and flowers.

we did one color at a time so the packets should all be the correct colors.

It gives them a real sense of accomplishment - the happy faces say it all.😊
