I planted Pink Jitterbug in the fall of 2020. I got it from Song Sparrow when they closed up. Last year was the first time it bloomed. Just one flower I think. This year there are at least 15 (including the sidebuds). The stems are strong and it lasts as a cut flower, getting pinker as it ages.

Ruthanna - cherry hill's color is such an eye catching color, almost neon!

Dianne- Your garden is a treat to the eyes. Lovey dubby Did you color coordinated your garden, pink with pink and yellow with yellow?

Hiya- you made a wonderful choice of grabbing it!

It's 9:30am and already 85F outside, way too hot. The yo-yo cool and warm weather is forcing a lot of peonies to open before they're ready this year. I have way too many lopsided blooms or brown/black discoloration.

Pastelegance - light floral smell

Blushing princess - strong powdery sweet smell.

The Mackinac Grand - clean green(?) smell, slightly sweet.
Thumb of 2023-05-12/Minyatur/15eb39

Pastelroma - didn't smell annd almost fully open, probably mid day.

I like Mioka… a perfect shape consistency petal shape , strong stem and very nice green foliage to really make the yellow peony flower shine.

Pink Jitterbug is a neat flower. It reminds me of the Pink Spritzer.
Pastelegance is such a unique color.
Thanks for sharing everyone!

I'm posting some picture of peonies I don't think I've seen in this 2023 thread.
Rose Reverence - It blooms when the corals bloom. It is on my short list for an early double/semi-double, assuming I make more room.

Still awaiting my first bloom, but loving all the posts! I'm a working gal (realtor), so don't have time to join in as much as I would like, always hope I have less clients in the run up and during the season!

Minyatur - we also had heat here today, but luckily still behind your bloom season, hoping the weather tames down. Last year was a mess, heat wave around June 1 when most was peak here. Your Blushing Princess was sent from the heavens!

Mantis - your chocolate soldier and salmon chiffon look awesome! How do you like chocolate solider? I have one last spot and would love to put in something dark like chocolate soldier.

Shelby- that's a lovely bouquet!

I have much smaller blooms than normal this year, but I am kind of enjoying it because I don't have to stake anything or deal with a sprawl.

I would say that some blooms seem smaller, but certainly not Schaffe or Chocolate Soldier. The latter is quite dramatic in the garden. It may require a little support, but is quite sturdy. Not that floriferous so far, but adequate. Salmon Chiffon is beautiful, but stems need a bit of support. Coral n' Gold is a favorite of mine; there is a fabulous clump in the cemetery across the street from the Urgent Care garden I tend. Some bushes have started to sprawl. Judge Snook and Raspberry Sundae are two that are becoming too dominant, so will have to be reduced this fall.
Yes, what a colorful Mother's Day bouquet. Certainly proclaims "spring."

Helen, your blooms look awesome to me! I'm sure your Pastelorama will be double for you next year.

Frank, I didn't realize Early Scout was that tall. It looks so impressive! Glad your season has started.

Gary, love the collage of photos. Your Pastelorama is truly awesome. What do you think of Quitzen? I have had it for several years, and it never has bloomed. It gets buds early and they all freeze, even though I cover the plant. I bought another one, and it hasn't bloomed yet. Do you think your Red Gardenia is something else? I've never heard of it.

LG- thank you for the kind words and acorn! I am thankful pastelorama actually had blooms this year, our fence fell down last year and totally crushed the poor thing right around early spring. It was 5 inches tall all of last year. Hilarious!

Gary - I love your nelda's joy and how immaculate your garden is! It's such a beautiful garden, wonderful contrast, well loved, and so well taken cared. Lovey dubby

Coral sunset - I accidentally left a broken piece in the original spot and was wondering why it (the piece left behind) was so small this year. The new location is on the other side of the front yard and bloomed almost a week later.
