Thank you all for you kind comments. I really appreciate them. And just like Karen said, I'm hoping that going a year without blooming will stimulate bud formation for next year.

Bea also made a good point about cuttings and seeds. I am going to do more of that!

Here is Blood Moon. It was not covered, and bloomed quite nicely.

Cheryl Ann's bloom is misshaped, but the color is absolutely lovely. Truly a bubblegum pink.

I did cover Ballerina and she opened a bloom. The petals have a green tinge on the inside !

That's the nicest Ballerina bloom that I have seen. Congrats! Now, I see why some peony enthusiasts get excited about it. I agree that Cheryl Ann's color is a very striking pink. I love it! It reminds me of TP Princess Chiffon pink shade but even more intense. Blood Moon looks good as well.

Very nice LG. 'Blood Moon' and 'Ballerina' are special and those corals are so steady, beautiful and reliable. The corals are show stoppers. Your flowers are spectacular. Enjoy these days!

Blood moon is gorgeous shade with a lovely ruffle. Lovey dubby Cheryl Ann looks like a cute heart, although missshaped, it's kind of charming. Smiling I just caught up with that thread and sorry to hear about the low temps, i am surprise it went down to the teens for you.

Karen, you are right about the color matching Princess Chiffon. I
Love that one, too. No blooms on her for me this year.

I'm glad you are enjoying my blooms. It's a preview for your own blooms that will soon be opening.

Do Tell has opened a couple of blooms.

I am enjoying your peony blooms very very much! Thank you so much for sharing! I think Princess Chiffon is a difficult tree peony. Mine took a long time to bloom. After 5 years already, I still get only 3 buds this year and the tree is only 18" tall. Do Tell looks great! I love its mixed colored petaloid center.

My early herbaceous blooms are starting to bloom.

My best bloomer so far is Roselette. It took a year off last year and this year it puts out a wonderful blooming bush.

Astarte from Gilbert Wilds. I am not sure this Saunders peony is correctly labeled as Astarte by Wild. But it is what I bought it as. I am moving this one in the fall. Anyone interested in getting a division of it? I may have few to give for postage.

Charlie's White:

Thumb of 2023-04-26/AnnaK132/b27840

Does anyone else find that Charlie's White has a really nice fragrance? This was a bagged root from Lowe's, and I kinda wonder if it was mislabeled, because the descriptions generally just say it's supposed to be mildly fragrant.

Minnie Shaylor last Sunday. The one bloom I posted opened rather earlier than the other three. 2nd year plant. I haven't even started trying to tackle the weeds in this part of the garden yet. Sticking tongue out

I am in love with this picture, the lighting and petal detail are so lovely!

Anna - I think I need minnie shaylor, it's such a striking contrast between the white/yellow/red. Lovey dubby Thank you for sharing!

I am usually a double peony fan, but fall in love with Athena every time I see it. It's such a beautiful peony. I think Gary's post a couple years back convinced me to get it, but I still want another one.

Thanks, guys! Helen, I think Minnie Shaylor caught my eye in the first place because of that touch of red in the center.

I'm pretty sure my Charlie's White mystery is solved? The Duchesse de Nemours I bought two years ago finally bloomed. So now I can tell you that whatever Lowe's was selling as Charlie's White looks and smells like a Duchesse de Nemours. (That's her in the picture.) I don't know if I could tell two white/cream peonies apart based on looks, but the scent is distinctive -- fresher than other fragrant peonies I'm familiar with.

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Keep the parade of peony's coming …
They are all just Stunning… I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you.

Most of mine are just starting to bud. Due to the huge weather swings we have all been experiencing lately all the peony's are a month later than usual to set bud. Some roots have been eaten by the ground squirrels again. I hope they got a belly ache… Smiling

Anna, that is definitely Duchess because of the green in the center!

I FINALLY got a Bob to live and bloom. I have bought two before, and both died.

This one came from Lyndaker!

My Little Dorrit finally bloomed. And it is little Rolling on the floor laughing
