Nice Cramer seedling. I'm fond of the dark red tango lilies too.

I'm surprised how keen to get out of the ground LAs and even some asiatics are! It seems so soon this season. Green growth here and pics of blooms from the opposite season. I feel like there's been no winter al all Blinking

So many lovely pictures. A truly sustained lily fix.

Seed started in February 2012. Junior has a few more and larger spots than mom but color is about the same. Both parents are 1c (= downfacing). I expect junior to grow up to be the same (I hope). Disbudded after the photo was taken.

The weather has been tempting me too, and I've started planting. I really have no idea how many batches of lily seeds I have to get in this year, so I figured I better start sooner rather than later! Hilarious!

Oh goodie, I found a few photos of Asiatics that I have neglected to post. Time for some more Asiatics!

This is a pot of three bulbs of 'Red Velvet' that I purchased as Red Tiger lily at a local nursery. I thought I got a pretty good deal; 3 bulbs for $11.99 minus a 10% discount. They really looked nice on my front porch with a low western sun shining through:

Likewise a pot of three Citronella for the same price. I put it next to Red Velvet and clicked again:
Thumb of 2013-08-08/pardalinum/5e91f7

This is 'Pink Champagne', long done blooming but I collected stem bulbils today:

And 'Blood Tiger'; again, bulbils were collected:

I don't know how I missed getting this photo of 'Stunning' posted:

I have several 'Royal Sunset' that will bloom any day now from a very late planting. I disbudded them all down to one or two buds.

Great deal and beauties there. Seems I am finding a lot of lilies with bulbils this year, even seedlings that haven't even bloomed for the first time yet.
