I need to let these blooms mature before I post pictures, I'm always in such a hurry to get a picture, and if I wait a while, they become much more ruffly. This is Louisa's Song this morning, much more ruffly.

Why are you going to cull 'Kiss Me All Over'? It's quite pretty.

I'm just not very fond of the pastel colored irises, and I have to make room for some if I ever decide to order any.

Tom ~ I solved that situation (for now. anyway). I just didn't order any new ones. this year.

I haven't ordered any this year either, but iris society rhizome sales are coming up and I always succumb to those and to Mid-America's summer sale.

I will probably order a few yet, but trying hard to keep that to a few. We'll see.

Peal Of Bells, One that is struggling to survive, no increases on the one remaining rhizome, so I'm not sure if it will continue after this year.


Novel Idea, this is the most fluorescent bloom I've ever seen, I know it looks photoshopped, but it's really this brilliant. Thought I lost it years ago, but it came back, not thriving, but living.


Piccadilly Circus, I've had this one a long time, it just keeps on blooming every year. A real survivor.


Adriatic Noble, a lot like Noble Gesture, but a bit later blooming. Always blooms.


Glamazon, it's developed into a large clump, and should put on a nice show in a few days.


Teenybopper, another nice luminata that just keeps on keeping on.

Holy Smokes, it's cold out there. I just came in from checking for new blooms, and I could see my breath. It didn't freeze, but darn close to it. Only a couple more opened overnight, but it should warm up and move things along.

My season is quickly coming to an end.Maybe 12 or so blooming their last blooms.

Cold here too in the mornings. We are currently under our normal highs for this time of year, and I really love it. I get a whole lot more done outside when it's in the 70's and low humidity. And it is giving me more time to enjoy my Japanese iris blooms that struggle with high heat. Next week we are suppose to get back up into the high 80's so I am sure the humidity will follow.

It's not really that green, more yellow, but for some reason the camera saw green.

It sure took a long time for this one to bloom, but I'm so glad I waited for it.

Yeah, that cold front was a sudden change! Now they are saying record highs, for next week! I think I would like some "normal" weather, for a change...but, I've forgotten what "normal" is

Yah, I'll be having to do some watering I'm thinking, no rain predicted until Thursday of next week, and that's only a 20% chance.
