Wow, 100 plants! Sheez and I only have 18 Hannah's Prizes! Hope I get enough seed just from those!

Adelaide Festival is pretty! I'll have to buy that to! Hilarious!

18 is also a good number! In the case of Adelaide Festival, we're hoping to get enough seed to last us more than one year this time. Grin

Dwarf Beauty King is also a real winner.

Really, all your selections are excellent. Great choices!!!

Mostly I looked for pretty stripes and swirls and sheen. Also wnted them to be very productive. And then just unusual.

Ones tha I grew last season were very tasty but I have lots of new to me ones also this time.

Fresh from the garden tomatoes are the best no matter what color. I just like that extra wow factor.

Really pretty tomato.

Uluru Ochre is one of the one we're growing on a rented farm northwest of Fort Worth. My son Jon and I planted around 100 plants of that variety and we're hoping for a very large seed harvest. It'll be back in stock by July if all goes well.

Adelaide Festival is the one that I saw a picture of the tomato and decided I had to have it. Last season out of stock so I could not get it but for this season I did. And of course lots of others. That beauty shot was what made me go look at the Dwarf Tomato Project plants. And of course there are so many pretty ones.

Uluru Ochre should be quite unusual. Can't wait to be able to taste it.

After saving what seed I can from the 18 plants, am I supposed to send them in when they're dry or can I hang onto them long enough to try hard to squeeze in a second generation of Hannah's before the first frost and then send in both batches of seed? Just wondering, as I am seriously going to try hard to make a second run through the fall. Miss Trish did tell me I can continue growing out the plants as long as I want until frost but if I aquire two batches of seed this year do I send them in one big thing or two separate runs?
Btw, my plants are blooming more so if they don't drop in this poor weather we've been having I should expect fruits before long! Big Grin

Keep as many seed batches as you can.

I harvest through the season and at the end I have a big collection of seeds. That's the way to maximize the harvest. We'll be sending you instructions soon (within a few weeks) on how to actually harvest and process the seeds.

You can if you want or its a requirement, but I already know how to save tomato seed via the fermentation process. I've been doing it for years saving my own heirloom seed with fine success. Smiling I'll let you know when my plants start fruiting. Thumbs up

So setting up for planting my Dwarf Project plants. Hopefully next weekend. Amyway I took 7 three foot green metal posts and set them up in a row. I think I will tie each plant to its own post for support.

I hope these plants do not grow way tall like my dwarf project plants did last year.

I have two potato leaf ones. Stony Brook Heart and Choemato.

Oh I also have some Patio Choice Yellow seedlings. They are not even half the size of my Dwarf Project plant seedlings.

I like Patio Choice Yellow. The Tomatoes tasted good and there were so many. Plant only grew maybe two feet tall. Big hit last seaason so I am growing it again this year.

I never grew those two plants before so we will see how they are.

Potato Leaf is simply another type of tomato leaves. Look more like potatoes.

I don't mean that I only have 7 Dwarf Project plants. I am growing 8 varieties and have at least three plants of each variety. Just that I set up 7 stakes in a row at the end of my tomato garden where some willl go.

I grew the yellow Patio Choice in the greenhouse this winter. They did well, too well. My plants are four to five feet tall. I didn't expect that and had to quickly provide something for them to grow on. Even then they have sprawled. Good tomatoes and so many that I have shared a ton of them.

I knew that part. Smiling Most of my dwarfs are potato leafed. Chocolate Lightning especially has very lovely leaves.

This morning I picked a big fat brown worm (corn worm is what it looked like) off a Hannah's Prize. I laid it on the ground, placed a couple of leaves over it and gave the worm a proper funeral. Rolling on the floor laughing Army worms have never been so bad until these past couple of years, I need to shop for bug spray. Since worms are squishy-bodied, perhaps insecticidal soap will work.

Seeing newborn fruits to Goldfinch, Wherokowai and Suzy's Beauty! Chocolate Lightening, however, is seemingly so slow I don't even think they're blooming yet.

I liked the taste of them and the tomatoes were quite large for a cherry type. The plants were small even though I grow in ground.
