Shirlee, I love that seedling -- so different and striking! And your others are beautiful too.

And Debra, I love your Back Scratcher kid, especially with that wonderful pastel coloring and white teeth.

Cindy, your Memories of Oz seedling is fantastic! I just wish the tets could display that fantastic green color as well as the dips do. It seems like they're just about always a chartreuse rather than pure green, although I did have one bloom of Emerald Prism that had a great green throat.

Cindy, love yours as well.

I agree I agree ditto:ditto: ditto all the above remarks. I always learn a ton from Michele's comments on this forum. But here's another question, Michele.

Michele said,..." If you are really wanting it to set this year though I would put some dip pollen on it (if you have a dip) to get it in the mood. This usually works if we have a plant that isn't wanting to set pods".

I am a novice with dayliliy hybridizing. I only began my passion with daylily's 4 yrs ago. This will be my first year at hybridizing. Why would putting dip pollen on a tet seedling get there juices flowing, so to speak? This statement really has me scratching my head. I believe you, Michele, but am wondering who figured this out?

Thanks for your responses.

I really have no idea who figured this out but that is what I was told to do by numerous people. For whatever reason, it works. I'm sure there is someone here who will know the answer to that Smiling

Is it just me or does it seem like there have been more exciting patterned seedlings this year than ever before?

I don't have any photos of my seedlings today but had to share this one of James Hall's. This is for the ones who really like teeth

I'm not sure where the form came from since the pod parent does not have it's parentage listed so I can't go look it up
