I've looked for those Vandas on the clearance rack at Lowe's and haven't ever seen them. I have to wonder if there's a grower who is supplying them that comes and takes them back when they're finished blooming.

They're way too pricey for me, too. Yikes!

I think in our Lowe's if you see them
With no blooms, they used to give 25% discount. But that was when they were $19.99 but now they are $39.99. And I was not happy when I lost 6 a few years back when we were in Michigan for winter and we got frost. I thought they were safe under the oak tree…Not!

A Vanda in bloom for 40 bucks? For NJ prices that would be actually very reasonable!

Come to Florida Lucy, the more the merrier. I do love the roses you all can grow in CA too.

I had Orchids collection before I collected other plants. Then i had plumerias and roses. My adenium addiction just started May 2021 and now between me rescuing adeniums and orchids from the clearance racks; buying up different colors and growing from seeds, I have enough that I could start my own nursery when I retire

Out of the blue, as usual the Thunderstorm Orchid has been listening to distant thunder this week, I think. We haven't had any rain since Hurricane Idalia went by over 2 weeks ago. I'm happy for a tiny snowstorm any time, though.

Little bargain NOID Den just about in full bloom now. Nice lush phal-shaped flowers.


And two new spikes on Den. Hilo Sparkle after it dropped all it's flowers from it's spa days in the shop for the hurricane. I need to get up on the ladder to get a better picture of this one now. At least 10ft up in the air there.

Great looking Dens! Elaine every time I see your pool cage, I show it to my hubby. I want one minus the pool :). We just got roof and fence done this year, keeping my fingers crossed I get an extended screen enclosure next.

Sending lots of to our fearless leader Ursula. I saw on FB where she has a painful booboo on her finger and I am betting her wrist doesn't feel so good either. Take care dear friend, it is hard to remember when you are not supposed to use that hand.

Thanks so much for your good wishes! I fell, tripping in our backyard over a water-hose! Unfortunately my right hand got a bit messed up, ringfinger and pinky broken and an off-angle. I just wish, it could be fixed a bit quicker, instead of getting an Mri, a Ct scan and then finally seeing next week the hand specialist, who will decide the date of surgery. I thought the clinic would just xray it and tape it it, but no.
Anyway, I live, and most of my plants were/are already inside, I had been very busy. My left hand is functional, I am pretty ambidextrous! The only thing is, I can't crochet!!!!!
Just a shout-out to husband Klaus being super helpful through this!💕
