Thinking of Mopps and you Bob, I know how hard this is for you. Group hug

Ziggy and Nobi...curious cats getting into mischief Lovey dubby And I had the same thoughts on the greenhouse plastic, my cats have put holes in our porch vinyl windows over the years and it is pretty thick.

Buffy says anyone wanting hugs, she's okay with that, or as my kids say, Down with that LOL.

Apparently Nobi's new activity is collecting snails off the patio and putting them in the litter box. Hilarious!

In other news, poor Ripley is going to the vet shortly. She started peeing a lot of blood last night. More than I've ever seen a cat pee. More this morning. Thankfully the vet could squeeze her in at 1:30 today.

She has chronic bladder issues because whoever owned her previously didn't get her treated when it first started. So she has permanent sediment in her bladder and she tends to have flareups every couple months. But I've never seen this much blood before. Must be a nasty infection this time. Sad

I have a feeling this is why the previous owner tossed her out. She'll pee in unusual places when she has flareups. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. I think instead of treating her, they tossed her out for peeing where she shouldn't. So she ended up with permanent issues because of it. Poor little thing... I wish I could just cure it for her. She's seen an internal medicine specialist who put her on urinary supplements and a monthly injection, to control it the best we could. But she still has flareups. Can only imagine the discomfort this causes her.

Home from the vet. Got some pain meds and an anti-inflammatory for Ripley. Just waiting on her urine culture to get antibiotics. Poor girl. She seems in good spirits at least and was super good at the vet.

Ripley is too sweet to have such a problem! Hope she's better soon.

Thinking of Mopps and wondering if the stormy weather lately is hard on his joints. Bob, if you can't find a handled harness, do you have a log carrier?

Still no culture results back on Peanut, and it's been 11 days!!! He has more of an appetite again and is definitely better but still congested. Mostly breathing normally, occasonal "bellows breathing" but no mouth breathing.

Hope Ripley will be feeling better soon. Does vitamin C help with cat UTI's ? When my dog Molly was starting to get them we put her on C and she hardly ever got another one .

I'm not sure actually. I'll have to look into it.

On another note, the tarantula I was concerned about finally ate today. She's also been more active and is currently grooming herself. So we're heading the right direction. Smiling

I had a night of interrupted sleep. My mare looked like she might foal last night, so it was up to check her periodically. She was still all in one piece this morning at 4:00 a.m. so I guess she will do it when she's ready. She's not due yet for a couple weeks, but last time she came early. Her apatite was off yesterday, usually a sign of things to come.

Got a call from the vet. Hasn't even been 24 hours, but apparently Ripley's urine culture is growing out of control.

So... off I go to pick up the antibiotics.
