In other news, poor Ripley is going to the vet shortly. She started peeing a lot of blood last night. More than I've ever seen a cat pee. More this morning. Thankfully the vet could squeeze her in at 1:30 today.
She has chronic bladder issues because whoever owned her previously didn't get her treated when it first started. So she has permanent sediment in her bladder and she tends to have flareups every couple months. But I've never seen this much blood before. Must be a nasty infection this time.
I have a feeling this is why the previous owner tossed her out. She'll pee in unusual places when she has flareups. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. I think instead of treating her, they tossed her out for peeing where she shouldn't. So she ended up with permanent issues because of it. Poor little thing... I wish I could just cure it for her. She's seen an internal medicine specialist who put her on urinary supplements and a monthly injection, to control it the best we could. But she still has flareups. Can only imagine the discomfort this causes her.
