do you have any neighbors or family you can ask to save them for you?

I need to spend the evening cutting and poking holes in mine I guess. how's that for relaxation?

Phyl I only moved here in October and I have no family here aside from a son over in Chattanooga who lives in a studio apartment.

I started out looking over in Hohenwald as the result of a magazine article. Couldn't find what I was looking for there and expanded my search to include Columbia and here I am.

I was wondering the same thing - all I ever hear about Colombia is how everyone is getting laid off from GM. Hope you're on good solid ground!

I'm retired Sheryl so jobs weren't a factor for me. Guess I was lucky that way.
A lot of people who worked for Saturned got laid off but some were offered a chance to relocate back to Michigan and went for it.

Yay for retirement!

That is so strange to me - I was in Michigan during the recession of the 80's where everyone moved away from Michigan (if they could). Weird.

I guess if they need work they have to go where it is. Sometimes it's a spouse or a child that needs the work and other relatives follow them.

I know - it can uproot entire families, or just take out precious parts. Can be tough.

On the other hand, it's great that they can remain employed.

I thought about leaving too be closer to my grandkids however my dad is 76, and my aunt is 80 something. I'm close to both....its hard to know what's right.

my parents followed me to GA, then followed my sister to FL, then followed her back to GA, then followed me to TN.

I think we all should move back to FL. =)

Hilarious! sound like your family has it's own road show!

Mine did something like that. We (my husband and I) and later my Mom followed my oldest sister and her family out of NYC. My middle sister had previously left so there was no one left in NYC after that.

Here's one use of orange...

The rose is Oso Easy Paprika Rose. The buds are a deeper orange, but the blooms are about the shade of a canteloupe, fading to peach. (Yikes, lots of food references here, must be lunch time!) The purples are Homestead verbena and Merleau salvia.
