Yup, just took the photo yesterday. I'm really pleased with how this area is filling in. I started with itty bitty liner plants 2 years ago. Big dreams, small budget.

The rose came from a friend of mine who is a garden writer. She received it in a group of plants to trial and write about. Her yard has almost no sun, so I agreed to be her substitute tester. It took me about 30 seconds to agree to that request!

Molly, so glad you're safe! I was really worried.

My garden writer friend is in GA, so I don't see her much anymore. Last year I grew out some seeds for her for a plant ID. I love a good plant mystery.

Nice viburnum photo, Phyl.

Gorgeous, Phyl! Do they have a scent? I have two small ones that bloomed for about a week, but it was last month. But the smell reminds me of tissue paper, lol...

I'm safe Phyl, Red and Sheryl,

I ran up to NY to get my furniture that was in storage up there. It's 900 miles each way and it saps my strength each time. I went up in my car, rented a 26' truck and a car carrier. Drove back after getting my stuff loaded. Stopped at a friends to pick up 110 plants of mine she was holding for me. Got lots of phone messages about how bad things were down here so I stayed an extra day at another friend's house (and picked up another 30 plants at the same time). Got back home Tuesday morning and haven't rested much since between unloading the truck, trying to unpack and get things placed. Managed to plant 20 of the new plants on Thursday and 5 more today. Had to catch up on my mowing cause all that rain did a number on my lawn. It grew about 8" while I was gone. I may be on here sporatically for the next few weeks as I try to play catch up on everything.

Just glad you're okay.

Oh man, that sounds like a *lot* of digging! 140 plants? Whew.

and more plants yet to arrive! I had over 2000 daylilies in my last garden and about as many other types of plants. Only a small fraction were saved for me Sad
