I actually did check out Superstition Iris Garden the other day. According to a note on their website they may be sold out for the year besides their 2024 intros? Seemed like a nice place though so I'm not surprised.

Orion, sure enjoyed the butterfly & woodland photos. I don't seem to get many butterflys here. Just too dry I guess. We do have a shallow birdbath that I even put a flat rock in the center hoping that would attract them, but no.
So I was able to figure out how to upload photos with a minimum of aggravation
First one is Heucherella "Catching Fire" Just planted about 2 weeks ago






And the last 2 are of the overgrown & crowded bed right outside our dining room window. Wish I had more room for plants......

Catching Fire is a nice heucherlla! I think I saw it at a nursery the other day. I got Solar Eclipse last year which is sort of similar I think but not sure if it's a heucherlla.. I'll have to check.
I noticed at the place I went to see butterflies they had a ton of very ripe bananas out on plates everywhere as nectar sources. Maybe try that??

Bought some superbells a few weeks ago when I got my pansies. I've been keeping them inside on my sun porch to avoid exposure to the cold temps. Of course they are being attacked by bugs. I cannot win with these plants! And I've been spraying almost every day with neem oil to no avail. Ugh.

They should be ok now, I've had my petunia basket outside for a week and it's been fine.

Good job on the photos, Lizzie! I love over grown flower beds. Yours looks so pretty!

Thanks, Zoia! I am going to put them in pots I think and waiting to get rid of the pansies first.😎 Also have a lantana I'm waiting to plant in the ground. I'm really hoping no more frosts! At least none this week.🐞

Amazing how in just a few days it seems like all the trees are leafed out. Besides all the allergens, May is one of my favorite months. Always so beautiful with the spring blooming trees etc.
