Saw my first scape yesterday! Petticoat Frills is a midseason bloomer, but it sits up against the south side of my house, so I guess that is why it is early.

My 3rd plant with a scape is Billy the Kid. Probably a leftover from last season or something, but I will take it

Oh yes! We will take those leftover scapes from the year before any day of the week!

Have really not been tracking scapes for the past few days, but I noticed this one and this plant has taken on special interest for me due to its robust performance.

This plant has recovered from my spray mishap better than any other plant, I can't imagine how well it would have performed with out me nearly killing it.

This is a picture of scapes on Mister Butters, probably about fifteen or so. Remarkable because this plant has never looked this good ever. It was moved last fall and it was a move that should have been done years ago. It's hard to believe the difference, definitely a case of location, location, location.

It's true, up to now we have had 9.5 inches of rain in April and another storm just passed through, so there will be more added to the total tomorrow. These plants are definitely benefitting from the rain, but somewhere some sun had better start showing up.

Elizabeth popped up 2 days ago.

Their scapes are about 2 weeks earlier than last year.

I have 10 daylilies sporting scapes already, which is definitely a lot more than last year at this time.
