Found scapes on Purple Starfish while weeding tonight. This was one that I divided last summer and moved, so am hoping for better performance from it.

I have seen several reports that a lot of us have moved up a zone. Is that true?

Even though I am in a higher zone, my blooms are always later than Vickie and Teresa. I guess we don't get as cold but we warm up later.

Anyway I spotted scapes on the following this morning:
Atrahasis
Cabana Anna
Flirting with Monkeys

I suspect that scape development will start heating up in a week or so and that all our rain will make for happy scapes.

I found a scape yesterday on Butterscotch Ruffles. That clump is planted in my front yard. I haven't checked any of the plants in the backyard yet. I'm just starting to feel better from my first cold since 2019. Knocked me out flat! The backyard is also a mess since last year we had an early drought so the daylilies went dormant and the weeds took over. Been trying to clean it out but the weather hasn't been cooperating Grumbling

Hard to believe my northern garden has scapes to add to this list... a few days ago, found (2) scapes on Cherry Ripples and this morning, I discovered (2) scapes on White Tail.

But White Tail is new this year, literally planted just a few days ago, so those scapes started somewhere else. It's noted for midseason bloom but I am curious... it likely has already bloomed down south and is now showing reblooming (?) scapes. (RE was not listed when registered, but it came to me from Florida.) And scapes right now, in my garden, is about 3 full months earlier than I should be seeing them.

Dianne, White Tail hasn't rebloomed for me so far. Definitely Midseason, in 2022 it bloomed from July 7-26 and last year from July 9-28.

Quick walk in the gardens before work... and discovered more scapes. The list now is...

Cherry Ripples
White Tail
Before
The Night King
Goose Creek Bill and Barbara

... and (2) of my newest colour-changers:

Spirit of Delusion

I need to check the species that are among my 'earliest' to see what they are producing, as well as what is usually my 'first' to bloom... Pinhill June Sunrise. This is going to be a great daylily year. Lovey dubby

Hurray! Glad to know that your daylilies are scaping! I think it is going to be a great daylily year too.

Although, with all the rain we have had this month, I did find one scape blast on 'Lydia's Regal Robe' yesterday. Probably have others, just haven't seen them.

Scapes are showing up! I didn't have my phone with me to record names but the ones I remember

Blue Lightning
Casco Bay Delight
4 scapes on Forest for the Sun, a Char plant that I am very excited to see for the first time! Apparently a frequent poly producer!

There are lots more, particularly on the new Terrace Bed. I'll try to find more tomorrow.

Huge and welcome surprise this morning--probably just about a month ago, Crintonic Painted Desert arrived from North Carolina, was planted in the Main Garden, and now there is a scape! I kind of did a double take when I saw it because I did not expect anything until next year. Naturally, here's hoping it will be able to produce a few blooms, for it's so pretty. I am reposting Char's picture which I love.
