The rollers really do roll! Look out - don't plant them anywhere you don't want to have more, because in my semp beds the rollers are just amazingly far from the parent plants...maybe birds, and worms are doing this? haha (actually I think it may be wind???)

Can I ask, Mick where you go for your plants in France? Are there nurseries in the big cities or do you have to go outside the city limits to look for them?

bev I am a gardener and I nick them all... nodding

we have brochante`s [car boot sales] diy/gardening shops and nursery`s ,I am in the country but close to major towns ,but only impulse buy.....

I do not like sedums that are high maintenance or that do not multiply fast unless they are cute... Hurray!

I would never go looking for them ,if I get a new garden contract that is better than visiting a garden center... I tip my hat to you.

I share my garden as well.....karma is good...

Another alternative for ground cover in between the semps can be wooly thyme which needs good drainage and is xeriscape type plant not needing as much water as the regular thyme. Stays low and good groundcover.
Arachnoid semps are so interesting but in my care they don't thrive as well as I would like. Very up and down in success. I hope yours grows well, Mick!
I guess being one of the many friendly, intelligent and personality-charged enthusiasts on the forum willing to support you in your addiction and experimentation is the best I can do for now... Green Grin!
But one day, I may make it to France and that's why I was asking about nurseries...thanks for sharing! Smiling

Very nice, Mick!!
Another good reason! Hurray! Hurray!

Bev, know what you mean about the arachs. They can be so tempermental. I've lost clumps many times, leaving one teeny webby offset to soldier on.

It is good to just grab a few and put them in a different part of the garden ,I moved my tomato plants 5 times to find the best spot...

What part of France do you like?

I am in the Charente Maritime but I love the Pyrenees ,but I am close enough to visit...
