Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

Same with me Paul, I've been going to my favorite forums and can't remember what I was thinking earlier.
I think I'll just take it from here and move forward!

I like to give acorns, sometimes large amounts, but I don't necessarily like others to know about it, in other words, I don't announce it anywhere in a forum, to me personally it would feel too much like tooting your own horn. That's why I liked that it went through t-mail. So I like this idea a lot but I'm not sure about others being able to see who gave what. But I guess most will give an acorn here and there, or partial acorns so it's not really that big of a deal. Shrug!

There will always be a private give-acorns feature. That won't go away.

Look at the tips as an upgraded Thumbs-Up.

Yup, great feature. Fantastic idea Dave. You should probably tweak the code a bit so as one cannot give 'themselves' an acorn tip though.

Well, there's no real harm in doing in since then you're just giving yourself an acorn so nothing changes. The number of acorns in your account would stay the same.

Nevertheless, it doesn't make sense to allow you to tip yourself. I'll disable that. Thumbs up

I must confess to giving myself a thumbs up in the database *Blush* some times the photo I think should be first gets approved in another order and I prefer the flower to the leaf or such, so the thumb corrects the mater with out bothering the Admins Smiling

Don't be embarrassed about that! Lots of people do the same for the very reason you cited. Because that's currently the only way to accomplish that goal, there's no shame.

Although to someone who doesn't know how that works, it probably looks odd. Green Grin!

That is great -- I saw the little acorn in the posts today! Such a cool idea!
