Ok, all you enablers---yesterday I was shopping for plants to put on the almost-sheer front of the rock garden that surrounds my pond's filter box, and I ended up with several varieties of semps.
You can see the area just to the right of the bench in this photo. Not much soil or water, full blasting sun in the summer, and temps between 107 in the summer and 20 in the winter. I couldn't think of anything better than tough sempervivum!
And PS, that's not MY my white concrete fence...
