I can't tell you guys how excited I am to have my first seedling bloom after a 3 year wait, this is it's second bloom and I am totally thrilled with it, I love it!!! I did not change the color, this is very close to the way it looked in the garden.

Thank you Shannon. I only got 2 seeds from that cross, both grew really well, the other one has a scape and buds also, it will be interesting to see if it looks similar or totally different .

Thank you Jan. The pod parent is double the pollen isn't, so I am wondering if this beautiful seedling will continue to have double blooms, anyone know the answer, or best guess.
In my experience doubles and poly's - at least for me, rarely occur, even when they are well known for doubling or poly. If you register it as a double, many times I have noticed comments such as "doubles 50% of the time" or similar. But until this year - I rarely had doubles - this year, whether it is due to the cool wet weather (the daylilies are loving it) or the fact that many are now 3-4 years old - I am seeing doubles in my gardens from ones that were expected to. As for how it does genetically and stuff and how the trait is passed - I haven't a clue. ~Jan

Thanks Shannon, cool name It's a good strong plant, it has 3 good size fans, with a sturdy scape, the bloom was about 5". What is the proper way to measure the scape, this one is 26" to the bloom.
Another Stargate Portal seedling
