Fyi, the summoning function with the at(@)name, does not work if you add it in with edit mode after your initial message has already been published.

Not a problem, just a note.

That's by design. Otherwise everytime you edit a post, you will re-summon the user if the at-name feature is invoked.

So just where and how does the "summons" show up?

Hmmm, that's interesting. Dave mentioned me in an article with an @ and I only happened to stumble on it because I read the article. Does it not work the same way in all areas? Or was I just not paying attention? (who, me? No, never!)

It works like that in all forums if someone uses the @ sign with your user name and you get a System Message each time. Check your system messages, you'll see where Dave tagged you and where Leftwood tagged you.

The @ user works everywhere on the site, but it will only generate a system message if it occurs in the forums. I will likely expand that to include blogs and ideas and so forth but for now it's just the forums.

Could it be because there was a comma right after your name so it's not an exact match?

If you type @Hetty and you get a red underline.

If you type @Dutchlady1 you don't get a red underline.

Red underline is for the spellchecker feature of your browser.
