I don't think I will ever get to growing my own potatoes. Too many other veggies I want to grow and I can't do everything.

No, I really try not to grow bush beans and mostly grow pole beans. With the bush beans, it is not that the beans don't taste good. It is that I don't like picking beans low to the ground.

Here are some of those Hildora Beans.

Turnips look ready to me!

And I picked two red peppers and some nice tomatoes again today. Pretty good for picking tomatoes every day in October.

Oh..FYI... I saw this plant from England where they had a tomato fruiting nicely above ground and potatoes growing underneath below ground...all on the same plant.. A real space saver ... Wish I could make this I pad show it to you...
One TomTato plant can reportedly produce up to 500 tomatoes and 2 kg (4.4 lb) of potatoes in one season
It's a grafted tomato to a potato

Ok...found a link I could clip and include for the tomato I think
http://www.redorbit.com/news/s...

Good...the link seems to work...it was done by the fine folks at Thomson & Morgan. A fine seed company you've likely heard of...it just looks photoshopped as the potatoes are so clean and washed for the photo...I guess to show the fine nature of the resulting product

Another row of yellow pear tomatoes pulled out and composted. Planted some Kale and watering the seeds in. The ground is so dry. If the seeds come up and the weather cools to much I can always put up a greenhouse cover.
Picked more tomatoes and Peppers this morning. Gonna make a batch of tomato sauce and freeze it for later.
