Doctora, I am glad you showed a picture of Pink Elephant, I know of a vendor but have not seen a good picture until yours came out. I like it will get it next year for sure.

James, I got my Pink Elephant and a few other hardy hibiscuses from Hallson Gardens. They have had some great deals on lilies in their end of the season sales, too.
Fair warning, Japanese beetles love them (and Tie Dye).

Doctora, I know how much they love them. They also love my Roses, but seems like they like my fountain I have in the Roses and for some reason I gather about a dozen dead in the water daily. I will have to check out Hallson next year, Thanks

Gak, those Japanese Beetles! Even when they are not a huge deal in the rest of the garden, they are all over the hardy hibiscus and the roses.

'Pink Elephant' has just gone on my list, too!

I just opened the package with the Fireball. It was a big long package, and the plant is about 3 ft tall and looks so good! It even has a bud on the tip, but I imagine that will probably fall off with the shock of planting it.

Thank you Karen, got this phone a few months ago and am trying it out. Been on the look out every time I go out to the garden having an abundant visitations buy snakes. And almost step on them or pick them up with the garden hose. I don't like snakes any kind.
During my working years saw three deaths from snake bites one a 3 year old child, there comes my fear.

What a shame! I don't like close encounters with them, but I don't chase them from my yard. They do a lot of good work there.

Do you have any idea where I might be able to order Heartthrob? My online search last Fall didn't turn up anything.

@dradiana

Sorry, I do not know of any retailer that has it for sale. I ordered two plants three years ago from a gardening co-op that I've been with for several years. I've never seen it for sale anywhere.
