36° when I got up. 70 for the high today.

LOVE these chilly mornings!

Turned the heat on in the greenhouse. The temp went down to the 40s again last night and I try and keep the GH about 60. Must turn off the heat about 9 a.m. if it does not go off by itself because the minute the sun comes up the temp goes up to almost 95 quickly. So, I open the doors and vents and let it open until the sun goes down. This is a good week to try and set all the thermostats for the rest of the winter. Of course it will get colder I am sure. Darn it all.

It is a beautiful day today and hopefully I can get the deck furniture washed. I swear the planes from the AFBase drop oil when they take off and land because there is a black film on my furniture at times and it looks terrible because it is white furniture. Grumbling along, I will say Have a good day.

I too am feeling crappy today. I am very "anxious" and have some stomach aching. Weather is beautiful but the GH is too hot to work in and I am not going to do much else. Grocery shopped this morning. That alone wears me out. I hate it. Have some AC leaves to plant but just now I am so sleepy maybe a power nap is on the agenda.

A nap is good, especially if your not feeling up to par.

I don't mind grocery shopping myself, no big deal. Of course then one has to put all the stuff away when one comes home. If you ask me that is a worse pain than the actual shopping.

Did you all see the pictures I put up on the other thread of the bear they have moved from North Jersey to South Jersey (the Assunpink near the Horse Park of New Jersey). There are 5 of them with 2 cubs. I hope the horses and riders stay alert when they trail ride in the Assunpink.



The one sitting in the soy bean field is so cute, but I do not really want to get too close to them. They do not like this warm weather either. They were in one of the neighborhood pools last week. The neighbors are not happy that they are bringing them in to this area. The Horse Park uses the Assunpink for alot of the trail events. Not good.

Weather is just lovely today.

I agree that it is a bad idea to add the bears. I can't imagine those poor neighbors now having to deal with bears in the back yard. Children need to be safe! Adults too.

Today's Hartford Courant had a story on using radio collars to track bear movements in CT......One female, who lives near Bradley Airport & comes too close to the action, was moved 10 miles away....she was back at Bradley in 6 hours.....another one had wandered up into Mass., but came back to her home den in the fall.......

Bears & people would have trouble adjusting. Horses will not like the scent.

yeah not happy about the warm weather either.. but I am not complaining.. the past few weeks have been beautiful.. bears and horses do no mix for sure.. someone could get real hurt
