Big two pound boxes of strawberries were on sale yesterday so I bought two boxes and will use some of my saved juice from rhubarb to make jam for my husband. He likes the chunks of fruit in his jam. And the price is good so the cost to purchase fruit isn't prohibitive. Going to a craft swap today at a friend's house to get rid of yarn and unstarted (never to be started) projects. Try not to pick up any new ones. Inspired me to go through my craft room and label boxes with yarn and patterns purchased for years back and forgotten.

Weather Channel is now naming storms. That has nothing to do with the official naming of Hurricane storms by the National Weather Service.

I did not know that. Just assumed that it was the NWS adding winter storms to their hurricane names.

I didn't know that the weather channel names storms.

I just started my curried goat meat in the slow cooker. It is sort of a combination recipe. One called for dried onion soup mix and 2 cups of beef broth along with 2 cups of tomato juice. The other called for cooking the meat in some kind of curry sauce which my son Chris bought. I marinated the meat in the curry overnight and added the onion mix along with the stock but left out he tomato juice. also added cayenne and black pepper and more powdered garlic. It will cook on slow for 6 hours. After that i remove the meat from the bones, put it back into the cooker and add carrots, frozen peas, mushrooms and a cut up onion and let it cook for another 2 hours.

Will let you know what happens

We are expecting another 3 to 5 inches of snow today.

They told us 2-4 inches overnight, but it changed to sleet instead.

I can honestly say that i could not tell i was eating goat meat. I think the curry sauce i used masked the flavor but it tasted just fine. I will not make it again but i just wanted to try it once. I will still buy Jamaican curry from amazon soon.
