The CPs don't care how squashed the bugs are -- just pick the mush up with a toothpick and smooth it on -- smoothing makes it think the bug is moving. I know this is gross, but at least it puts bug carcasses to a good use!

I've discovered I'm not at all squeamish about feeding insects to my plants -- I truly dislike insects that are not endangered and do nothing but attack creatures that ARE endangered. You might discover that you enjoy feeding recently squashed spiders to plants...
