I love them. How long does it take a seed to reach blooming size? I have some beauties but tags are long gone. But they are beautiful plants and tough too.

Here it takes 2-3 years for a seedling to bloom. Some first the first year in the South. They are tough and don't take a lot of care. Charleen some of mine will be looking for a new home this fall is you have some room to spare.

I just found this cubit. So many lovely plants! I love the spider blooms!

I had the good fortune to receive some crossed seeds from two generous folks. Unfortunately, so many of them sprouted and grew that when I transplanted them, I lost track of which plant was which. So all of mine are NOID daylilies.

This is currently my favorite one. It is huge and has been blooming almost non-stop for over a month. I thought the bloom period was about over for it, but saw a new bud stalk growing from the base so it looks like this one will be showing off for some time. I just love it! Lovey dubby

Thanks everyone. I have about 50-60 different NOID crossed daylilies that I grew from seeds. I have all my bloom photos on my cubit. Too many photos to post again here. But if anyone wants to skim the photos, they are on these two threads:

http://cubits.org/MG/thread/vi...

I am amazed at how beautiful my crosses are. And I was very fortunate to get so many to germinate from seeds! Two generous cubit members were so kind to share their crossed seeds with me. I would never have such beautiful daylilies or so many if it wasn't for their generosity! Hurray!

Becky, You do have some lovely seedlings. I have nearly 200 and most are looking like they'll finally bloom this year. It's really exciting isn't it? Hurray! Smiling

What luvly, luvly blooms! Is there a ruffled mini DL that is a fav? I want one for my 'tiny flowers bed'. Any colour but yellow will work in this spot. So far I have found 'Little Red Dragon' and 'Lullaby Baby' that I like but their flowers are a little too big. Thanks mucly for your help.
