Happy New Year! It snowed just enough to look good without making the roads bad!

We are in snow again.The big storm for the whole east.The low for tonight will be higher than the high for tomorrow.

Same here! It's been raining all day and as temps drop this is supposed to turn to snow but the worst thing is the upper 20's for a low tonight and wind gusting to 40mph. Then tomorrow low 20's, should turn my potted plants into a giant black pop sickle. LOL.

Narcissus amongst Conoclinium coelestinum (which obviously has to go, too messy for here) The weird thing is that we planted short, stout 'Ageratum' from Lowe's, and this came back afterward:

No idea if all of these will survive the teens predicted in a few nights, but so far so good! Mini succulent garden on the front porch, which I cover with a sheet when expecting frost. Its' first winter, no idea what will be left standing by spring...:

Very nice Tiffany! I have a white Camilla but it is done for the year, the buds froze, the shrub put up a good fight too but eventually lost to the freezing temps.

I'm starting to get a little winter color between some rocks...'til the next storm moves in

Its 1* going for a high of 8* today. I have moved from fleece to mohair,might just stay in bed all day.

This is the cutest little tree I ever saw!!!

Thanks Susan, I love this little tree, turns the brightest yellow in the winter then goes green in the summer. Like a sun ray on these cold gray days here in Washington. They were a new thing a few years ago but, don't see them too much any more, not sure why.

They are rare!! You were lucky to get one, I probably do not want to know what you paid for it. LOL.
I added a data box to the database, feel free to edit or add to it as you find out more about this plant. Hopefully one day I will get one.

Yes they are $$$ but I didn't pay a ton for mine. I had been looking after seeing them at the flower and garden show in Seattle. There they wanted $75.00 for a gallon pot!!!!! Not going to happen!!!! Then I was shopping my local nursery on customer appreciation day, 50% off all plants. Got this guy for 25.00 and this is the 2nd winter for it. I was so happy!

Wow..not only were you lucky to get it, but you stole it too!! Sounds more like a tip for the guy putting it into the car while no one was looking. Yippee!!

I should have bought 2 or 3 to grow on and sell in a few years!!!!
It's still really small but it grows every year.
