That 'one' would be what we were all hoping to get when we ordered.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

I adore 'Tiger Babies'. It has a very special unique color here. All have come from The Lily Garden and purchased over different periods of time, look identical to me. Not a big fan if orange, but this sherbet color it has is stunning. And never anything but long lasting blooms. Has to be in my top 10.

It is true, Tiger Babies are different clones. I'm not sure if they are a seed strain or a group of similar clones. Judith Freeman has written an extensive article in the latest NALS Bulletin concerning this subject and others. It is a very interesting (and telling) article about the genetics of some of her lilies.

Great article--and I learned a new term, 'apical dominance'. Sounds much more scientific than my term, 'hogs'. Rolling on the floor laughing

I have to admit ( *Blush* ) I don't always read everything in the Quarterly Bulletins. And I haven't looked at the December one I received yesterday, but I've looked at the table of contents in all four 2013 QBs, and I don't see anything written by Judith. Where is this article?

It is actually the first article written by Charlie Kroell re Anastasia and includes a lengthy response by Judith to a question put to her by Kroell. Freeman's response starts at the bottom of page 8. This is the bulletin you just received.

Cute! That Rosthorni cross is interesting! What age is it? Do you have other Rosthorni crosses started?

Is it totally open? I really like the flower, hoping it has many buds within a few years.

I am a sucker for real reds. That's why I like Olina. Anthony, the Lykkegaard red tango x 1a seedling borders on it. Lovely!

Okay, I'm just not seeing any rosthornii traits on that L. rosthornii x Pink Trumpet. Indeed a very nice, well formed and colored flower which I like, but I wonder..... It's not that I doubt such a cross could happen, just whether it actually did.

Lykkegaard seeds apparently.. could have been wrongly labelled. Rosthornii x Wh trumpet was similar!...........I see red... I love bold 'reds' as well Rick.. Ive banged a heap of the Tango pollen about all the Reds here, even a pendant..........34 degrees one day , 15 the next ,,,,, not the best conditions! Thumbs down

I also received some Lykkegaard seed that had questionable labeling, and labeling with a question mark added.

Nevertheless, very glad to get them. Thumbs up

The Lilium martagon album seed shown here was seed from John Lykkegaard:

Yes, indeed, that is a pretty color! Hurray! On that Terracotta Warrior, can you get a picture of the foliage and post. I think that one has somewhat unique foliage.
