Great news. Our forecast has changed. Now we are only going to stay sub-freezing for 36 hours rather than for 72 hours. I will take it!

And then back up again to 70º by Friday. I am surprised we're all not sick as dogs!!

The next three nights/mornings will be in the mid-teens but only one day will the high not get above freezing. Not the greatest forecast but better than the one I saw three days ago. As long as all my heaters work in the GH's and enclosed porch, my tropical plants will be fine. So far, so good.

...We Weather Wimps!
I opened the side of the patio hoop and watered yesterday. The fruit trees are budding, tiny little white flower buds all along the stems. Looks like the only plant not doing well is the coconut. The fronds are a bit yellow. It may be a little too much water.

The Great Migration has begun from Austin. Getting away from the weird weather by car and plane, our neighbors and extended family are heading to Colorado and New Mexico where you know it's cold and going to stay that way. Those of us left behind will be tasked to drip outside faucets, collect mail, and watch for suspicious cars and trucks for our neighbors.
