So many lovely colors and textures! Clint, your Rainbow Eucalyptus and Bromeliads make me want to move to a warmer zone.

Every time I looked at this lily I notice the lavender stigma echoing the lavender butterfly bush. Hard to see in this photo, but the stigma is very lavender.

Jeanie, that purple daylily is lovely, but in that setting?? It's stunning!! I confess, I copied it to my computer so I could add it to the ones I have shuffling on my desktop background. I hope you don't mind. Whistling Lovey dubby

That is a great lily. It's 6 years old, clump has disappeared and the lily is short this year but still hanging in there.

At least you have something.
My lilies have disappeared in droves this year...Patricia's Pride, Mount Duckling, Salmon Star, Casablanca, Playtime, Monte Negro, a short pink and white one I can't remember the name of, and all but one stalk of Cobra. Not even a stalk or a bulblet left so that I could hope for next year. Crying

Love them both, Jo Ann, but the second one is superb.

I also lost so many lilies this past year - many Conca d'Or, all Salmon Star, many Casablanca (and the one survivor was eaten by deer), all Dimension, all Royal Crown.

Great echoes with lilies JoAnn!

Jeanie, looks like most of the lilies you lost are Oriental hybrids. Some varieties are known to diminish after a few years, but they're also usually listed as zone 5 hardy with protection. I'm thinking it may be a bit too cold for Orientals there. My Oriental hybrids have diminished over time here too. There was a couple of years when I neglected the garden horribly and most disappeared during that time, but a few have returned and are bulking up again. Most of the Oriental-trumpet hybrids have been good perennials here and are much hardier.
