daisyl, what mix do you use. I use about 3/4 grit and 1/4 humus (potting soil). It gets too wet this time of year. Got to keep them covered when it rains out. Some I use almost all grit which is poultry grit.

Stush,

Lazy Lazy Lazy! That's me. Smiling Miracle Gro Cactus, Palm and Citrus soil with added perlite - 1/4 to 1/3 by volume. Most of my cactus (except for the cold hardy ones) and all my succulents live in my greenhouse. The succulents get watered once a week and the cactus every couple weeks. The greenhouse gets to about 105F to 110F in the summer with 10% humidity (outside, the humidity is lower and so are the temperatures).

Got the hang of this new rebuilding. Like it very much now. Who said change is bad?
Well I got another seedling that bloomed. It's a Stapelia but I miss labeled it Huernia. I call it 'Dark Shadows' because it is a seedling.

Here's another seedling of mine that bloomed this year. Very zebra looking but no solid red center ring. First bloomed last year.

Great Idea, I'll name it 'Pokadot' until a could find it's rightful name if there is any. It is a seedling of unknown origin.

Are you growing them from seed?

Yes, Daisyl, I purchased seed on ebay 3 years ago. 100 mixed seed. About 1/3 germinated. Never got seed of my own yet but this year looks promising.

Hi, love all of your beautiful flowers. I have a couple of stapelias, gigantica and sniderianna ( sorry about the spelling , I was too lazy to go look up the correct spelling) . And I have just discovered that there are more way cooler looking ones than the ones that I have. So if anybody has anything they want to get rid of please pick me!

So far I have not noticed any seed pods on my plants. I think bring them in may have dropped their seed pods off. I'll keep watching. Some have still got a tiny node from where flower was. I got another new seedling flowering for the first time. Calling this one 'Spotti' until I can find an exact name if one exists.
