Way to many Linda, This is just the front patio. They are all over the yard and the backyard as well. This evening Their is a lady on the BGI forum is coming over
this evening to start digging up this front patio area. I will keep all of Monica from
Germany Brugs to continue my Hybridizing program and will grow standards from
now on. This front patio area is being removed for my 63 Rose bushes I just purchase
and I need this area. I'm returning back to my first love which was Roses.

Somewhere back in the early nineties I won the city of Lakeland beautification award
when I was growing roses. They grew as tall as my home and to me they were a lot
less work. Me having to travel at times being in the ministry would give me a piece of
mind rather my Garden are thriving. Here is a old photo back in the nineties when I first
started growing plants.

Charleen, My Brugs are 5 feet apart and that is still not enough room for them. I will continue growing Brugs but as standards because they takes up less room. This front patio area has
become overgrown and has to be removed. it's only June and they are overgrown and so instead of cutting them back they will be removed and replace with the Roses. Their will be
plenty of pictures for I will be doing a documentary on the growing of my Roses.

Most of all the Brugs in these photos in front of my patio are all European Brugs, I Had
a purpose on growing them their in full sun. My purpose was to see why I was reading on
different forums why the Europeans Brugs did not fair and grow well in hotter climates.

Well, For my satisfaction I have Killed another myth that I once believed and the most important lesson to me is that they can and will bloom and grow vigorous in hotter climates.
Take a peek in my photo Bucket album or on face book and look at some photos I never
get to post on the garden forums sometimes.

a question was ask to me on yesterday how can Roses be easier to grow in my Humid climate than brugs. When i post a picture of what grew here years ago that was proof in the pudding and I considered myself to be a green Gardner in the early 90's. But have learn a
basket of knowledge since that time that should help me to be even a better Gardner today.

In my humble opinion to all gardeners is experiment and see what works best for
your growing condition. Trust me I have Killed a few in trail and error. But that did not deter
me from continuing my efforts in being a decent Gardner.

Very good William. You never know til you give it a try. I have about 5 brugs that came thru the winter in the ground. They haven't bloomed yet , Strawberries and Cream is a nice tall plant but some of the others are til rather short. It must be their breeding.
I do believe you are a great gardener.
Bless you...
thanks for all my answers too...

CB, more beautiful blossoms to drool over!! And it is amazing to see all those lush plants. I grow all my brugs as standards. The blossoms are on much better display in my opinion and I can get to my blossoms when I am hybridizing.
Don't forget to keep a few hardy "oldies" brugs around to breed back into those European beauties. I think one advantage you have in growing the European brugs is that yours are in the ground. I noticed alot more people putting their brugs in the ground this year- myself included.
I am not a rose gardener but I will certainly enjoy yours, in photos, once you get them going!!!
