Don't forget to keep a few hardy "oldies" brugs around to breed back into those European beauties. I think one advantage you have in growing the European brugs is that yours are in the ground. I noticed alot more people putting their brugs in the ground this year- myself included.
I am not a rose gardener but I will certainly enjoy yours, in photos, once you get them going!!!

I am going to have to locate "Serendipity" since you mentioned it is a tough brug and will likely stand up to any abuse from weather or soil. I'd love to have one in the ground again. Mine are all in pots and I know they would do so much better in the ground if they could survive my horrible soil. I have knot root nematodes in my yard.

I love roses, too. Also growing all mine in pots. But they are doing great and bloom profusely for me. I grow the Knock-outs which are not as wonderful as most roses, but they do well in containers and for me. Though ... I do have climbers also in containers growing up my arbors, so you just never know what will work!
