It really looks like that - it is tall and has huge flowers.

Anyone growing a bright orange with Wildfire in the name? I cannot remember the whole name but I saw it and liked it a lot!

'Coleman Hawkins' is a Dan Bachman daylily that I've been growing since he introduced it in 2001.

'Chicken on the Run' is another Dan Bachman and one of my favorites every year. I've been growing it, since Dan introduced it in 2001 - 2002. He uses it a lot in his hybridizing. Wonderful and beautiful daylily.

'Zoot Sims' is another great Bachman daylily. I've been growing it, since Dan introduced it in 2003.

Fun going over this old thread, Coral Nebula and Zoot Sim are both wonderful. Keep telling myself no more oranges, but keep seeing ones I like.

Susan, you have a lot of beautiful oranges. Even though doubles are not my favorite, Glorious Autumn never fails to make me wish I had it!

Marilyn, Coleman Hawkins and Chicken on the Run looked similar in color, so I looked up the parentage. Sure enough, pod parent of both is Highland Pinched Fingers. I love them all!!

Glorious Autumn may be more gold than orange. Not sure what color it is registered as.

GLORIOUS AUTUMN is definitely orange here! It doesn't look much like the picture above.

Julie, my GA is really more like your color. Not sure what was wrong with my camera that day. It does seem to have been less double this year than normal. Maybe because I divided and moved it last year?

I am not a big orange (color) fan, but I am changing my mind by staring at all these beautiful photos and by growing a few orange cultivars myself. So far, my favorite cultivar in own my garden is Wild One. When I saw that one bloom for the first time and saw the colors ... that seemed to glow, I was blown away! Used it quite a bit in my hybridizing early this season.

I think oranges really pop in the garden and as long as they don't look like the old tiger lily, I like them.
