Funny about the orange shag carpet. Our first rental house in 80 had that lol. Does anyone grow INCA PRINCE? I saw this at a garden years ago and always admired it but have yet to add it. If you have extra LMK. The database picture doesn't show how vivid the orange really
is.

I have three of Fred's that I want to post, although he already posted wonderful pictures of two of them.

LILLIAN'S DRAGON MAGIC - This is an amazing little one because I never know whether the next flower will be a single or double -- great fun!

Nice pics but on my monitor they are not very orange. I have Sp TINY PERFECTION and I think of it as more of a yellow.

Rather than try to dig out all the images again, below is a link to a blog I did earlier this year about many of my favorite oranges:

Hope you'll take a minute to look, as some of them haven't been mentioned here!

Here's another of the hot oranges that I like. A Maryott introduction that was colorfast/sunfast called Texas Heatwave. Maryott warns about a rust problem, so stay away from it if you are battling the disease. It was an orange measly mess in my garden the one year I got rust, so I pitched it. Still Texas Heatwave is a beauty if rust isn't a problem for you

Some of the oranges mentioned I've tried and discarded because they weren't colorfast or sunfast. That's important to me. Citrix is on the edge for instance as it seems to melt by mid afternoon, although the color stayed pretty stable. Will give it one more year to straighten out. House of Orange, while right up my alley color wise, faded by mid afternoon, so we parted company.

An orange toned Double that is a keeper is Cluster Muster. The color sometimes changes to more of a butterscotchy orange by mid afternoon, but it's still attractive......Maryl

She loves the Krakatoa Lava...but we think it is too large for where she want to put it ...and I can't seem to find one anyway.

Those of you who have Citrix--any comment on the fragrance??

After seeing so many good pictures of Indian Ripple over the years I tried it for the first time last year. The blooms were smaller then I expected (hadn't read the stats on it before I bought it) at around 4 inches or so. Still it certainly is pretty, and will stay in my garden. BTW, since I grow roses, I really don't even think about fragrance in daylilies, so have never bothered to sniff IR. Sorry, no help with that information......Maryl

Spirit Fox, an award winner from Canada, had a bright orange color. Not listed as a rebloomer. I don't know if that means just in the north or all over the country. I will see what it does next year as its first year here saw no rebloom.......Maryl
