Here's another of the hot oranges that I like. A Maryott introduction that was colorfast/sunfast called Texas Heatwave. Maryott warns about a rust problem, so stay away from it if you are battling the disease. It was an orange measly mess in my garden the one year I got rust, so I pitched it. Still Texas Heatwave is a beauty if rust isn't a problem for you
Some of the oranges mentioned I've tried and discarded because they weren't colorfast or sunfast. That's important to me. Citrix is on the edge for instance as it seems to melt by mid afternoon, although the color stayed pretty stable. Will give it one more year to straighten out. House of Orange, while right up my alley color wise, faded by mid afternoon, so we parted company.
An orange toned Double that is a keeper is Cluster Muster. The color sometimes changes to more of a butterscotchy orange by mid afternoon, but it's still attractive......Maryl
