Last year, well, for me, was one of the worst in my life. So that means that 2014 can only be better, right? So let's start this off right!

Here's New Year!

I sure hope 2014 is great for everyone.

We are having a winter storm here in the northeast. Been coming down since about 6PM and the heavy snow is expected to go all night until noon tomorrow.

I am glad that the snow is over and the sun is out but we had a lot of snow.

to cold to snow here it was -10 this morning and its around +10 right now !! but not as cold as up north berrr LOL

That sounds plenty cold to me. It should get to around zero or below here overnight according to the weather forecast.

Bitter cold in the Great Lakes area!
Guess we are making up for the previous mild winters.
Last night it was - 10 and we had a water pipe burst.
Hubby will probably be up all night working on it. joy.

My outside critters seem to be doing well despite sub zero temps and our Terrier Shelby proudly killed
her first squirrel today. We always let her shoo the squirrels away from the bird feeder but this time she caught one!

We spend Christmas in Chicago at one of our sons and had a lovely time
although driving home was slow going in blizzard conditions.

PP the snow is indeed beautiful and adds a mystical look to the landscape but 4 months of it is a pain
but being born, raised and a life long resident of Michigan I guess you get use to it but the older I get
the more I realize how much better I feel during spring - fall months. I do suffer from the lack of sunshine.

OH NO...I feel a Sunday ebay search coming on!

No, I wish I could afford to collect them or have a place for it but I have always admired them, especially as they are botanical themed. I have one or two small plates and then other items that are in similar leaf themed looks, like cabbage leafed plates and t-pots but are not authentic antique Majolica, just more Majolica looks but made recently.

Oh Suuue...I won 2 Majolica luncheon plates on ebay the other day.
