We actually have snow accumulation! And it's still snowing. Schools are already closed for tomorrow and I'm not going anywhere! Maybe I'll start some more seeds!

Arlene this winter weather is just too weird. Snow in Georgia.

Actually, we had snow three years ago too. I remember because we had just bought this house and my mother was visiting from northern MI and she thought she was coming to warmer weather! Ha! And it stayed cold the entire two weeks she visited!

So, I think after this weeks freaky weather we should be done with it, right? Hope so! I'm thinking positive about it.

I sure hope so. Early Spring would be very welcome this year.

Yesterday morning we woke up to ice all over everything! The roads were a mess, vehicles sideways and in ditches, at least one injury crash a few miles out of town, freeway closed east of us because of multiple wrecks, and school was even cancelled for the day. That is a rare event. Another rare event was that the Weather Channel actually named our town as being the center of the worst of the storm! Amazing, they DO know we exist! Overnight we got a warm front and by noon today all of the ice seemed to be gone.

Oh no, ice is not good but at least it did not last and melted away.

we still have snow on the ground here but it is melting as it is about 40 degrees today. Supposed to get even warmer for the weekend.

Going to plant these eggplants that I just ordered from Parks Seeds in ground this year. They are shipping 4/21. Amadeo Eggplants. They really sound so good. In fact I wish I had eggplant to cook up right now. Last year I had all my eggplants in pots.

Yeck, no early spring. Those darn groundhogs! Staten Island Chuck and Punxsutawney Phil both saw their shadows today.

I watch the farm report on RFD the other night and long range weather forecast show below normal temps for Feb.for the mid west and and eastern U.S . So those rodents seem to agree and I'm not looking forward to it at all.

Oh, not good news. I was looking for an early spring. Maybe at least March will be warm.

Well.I was wishing for at least the second half of February to be fairly warm and then March also. But I will take what I can get.
